...But it was still someone's life. Someone...who doesn't have the chance to come back. And if I don't get held accountable to the same standards as everyone else here, what business would I have on the force?

That part, particularly...he was beating on Jacob. He had a gun. I got there in time and told him to stand down.

The next thing I know, he's behind me, and the barrel is pressed against the back of my head...
